Compare current evaluation rules for FTMO, Topstep, FundedNext, The5ers, and MyFundedFutures, with an official source and review date for every field.
Last reviewed2026-07-28
FTMO and FundedNext use static overall loss floors for their current two-step evaluations, Topstep and MyFundedFutures use end-of-day trailing maximum-loss limits, and The5ers uses an absolute maximum loss; daily-loss timing and equity treatment differ materially, so compare the rule mechanics before choosing a challenge.

CSV is flat and spreadsheet-ready. JSON preserves field-level source metadata.
The maximum-loss mechanism decides how much of your profit is really yours, and it is the rule traders most often misread. Same account, same wins, three different outcomes.
Illustrative diagrams. The three charts below draw how each mechanism behaves. They are not measurements and no firm produced these equity curves. The only figures they carry come from this dataset: a $100K account, the 10% static drawdown used by the static-floor firms, and the $3,000 trail Topstep applies to a $100K account. Every real value is in the matrix underneath.
Static floor3 of 5
FTMOFundedNextThe5ers
The floor is set once, at signup. Every dollar you make widens the gap between your equity and the line that ends the account, and none of that room is taken back.

End-of-day trailing floor2 of 5
TopstepMyFundedFutures
A strong close permanently lifts the floor underneath you, so profit you already banked becomes the level you now have to defend. Check whether the floor stops rising once it reaches your starting balance.

No program in this dataset
The harshest variant: the floor chases the highest price your open position ever touched, so handing back an unrealised gain can end the account on a day you finished green.
Counted from the five records on this page: every drawdown mechanism here is static or end-of-day. This card is the mechanism to look for elsewhere, not a rule any listed program uses.
Where the five programs differ
Read down a column to judge one program, across a row to compare all five. Scope: current evaluation or challenge stage only. Funded-stage payout and scaling rules are not mixed in.
Blow-up line
3 static, 2 end-of-day trailing. FTMO, FundedNext and The5ers fix the floor at signup. Topstep and MyFundedFutures raise it after a strong day closes, which turns profit you already made into the new line you must stay above.
Daily loss
3 of the five list 5%. Topstep and MyFundedFutures sit outside that group. Read the verbatim rule in the matrix before assuming a daily limit exists, or that hitting it ends the evaluation.
Pace
2 to 5 minimum days. Minimum days is the floor, not the whole rule: 2 of the five attach a further condition to which days count, so that row quotes each rule in full.
static floorend-of-day trailingoutlier: differs from the other three programs in that row
Evaluation rules, field by field. Each cell shows a normalized headline, the firm’s verbatim rule text, and a numbered link to the official source.
How to read the headlines. The large figure in each cell is a normalized headline built only from wording that already appears in the rule itself, so it can shorten a rule but never restate it. Where a firm sets a different limit for each account size, the headline spans the smallest account to the largest one, and the amount that applies to any single account is the one quoted under it. That quoted line is the verbatim dataset value, and the downloadable CSV and JSON carry the same string plus the source URL and review date for every field.
Source register
Every figure above traces to one of these official pages. The same URL and review date travel with each field in the CSV and JSON downloads, so a quoted number never leaves its source behind.

Deliberate gaps
Apex: pending manual review
Apex is left out of the matrix on purpose. No Apex figure is published until every field has been checked by hand against official Apex documentation, because shipping nothing beats shipping a number nobody verified.
Pending verification
These details were not explicit on the official pages reviewed, so the dataset does not infer them from third-party summaries.
The5ers, daily loss basis: The official rule page confirms the prior-day closing equity or balance anchor and the server-midnight reset, but does not explicitly state the live monitoring cadence. Official page reviewed 2026-07-28.

Method and limitations
Each record represents one named evaluation product, not every product sold by the firm. Values were manually checked against the linked official pages on the review date shown in each field. A rule can change after review, and the agreement shown at checkout or in the trader dashboard remains controlling.
Program scope warning: FTMO figures apply only to the 2-Step Challenge (the 1-Step Challenge uses different rules), and The5ers figures apply only to New High Stakes (Classic uses 8%/5%). Do not quote these figures without the program qualifiers.
Daily-loss basis describes both the anchor used to calculate the limit and the measurement used to trigger it. Total drawdown type distinguishes static floors from end-of-day trailing floors. No third-party source was used to fill a missing value.
