Funded-account checks

Use these three pages as a simple path: understand the rules, stress a scenario, then track consistency before a payout.

Four questions behind the calculator.

Every result exposes its assumptions, so the number can be checked instead of merely accepted.

01

How do you calculate position size from account risk?

Convert the chosen risk percentage into a cash risk budget, then divide by the absolute distance between entry and stop. A $25,000 account risking 1% with a $2.80 stop distance produces 89.29 units before fees, slippage and contract-size adjustments.

02

How much should a trader risk per trade?

There is no universal percentage. The useful question is whether the chosen loss still leaves enough room for normal losing streaks, open portfolio risk and any daily or trailing drawdown limit.

03

Why can a profitable strategy still hit a dangerous drawdown?

Win rate and average payoff do not determine the order of wins and losses. Monte Carlo simulation rearranges that sequence across many paths, showing a range of drawdowns instead of one unusually smooth backtest.

04

How do prop-firm rules change position sizing?

A funded account can have a tighter effective loss budget than its headline size suggests. Daily loss limits, trailing floors and consistency rules all reduce the usable buffer.

Loss Recovery / Break-Even Calculator

The loss recovery calculator takes your drawdown and returns the exact gain needed to get back to break-even — the climb out is always steeper than the fall in.

Average Down / Cost Basis Calculator

The average down calculator blends every purchase — share counts, prices and fees — into a single weighted cost basis and the price your whole position breaks even at.

Target Break-Even Calculator

The target break-even calculator answers a blunt question: how many more shares it takes to drag your break-even down to a price you choose, and how much bigger your position gets to reach it.

Position Size Calculator

The position size calculator works backwards from the money you're willing to risk: enter your account, risk percentage and stop distance, and get the share, unit or contract count that caps your loss at the dollar figure you set.

Risk/Reward Ratio Calculator

The risk-reward calculator turns entry, stop and target into your R multiple, then the minimum win rate that ratio needs just to break even — a 2:1 trade breaks even near a 33% win rate.

Stop-Loss & Take-Profit Calculator

The stop-loss and take-profit calculator converts the percentages in your head into exact price levels for long or short trades, with the dollar risk and reward waiting at each level.

DCA (Dollar-Cost Average) Calculator

The DCA calculator takes each fixed contribution and the price it bought at, then returns the units you accumulated and your blended dollar-cost-average cost across the whole plan.

Break-Even After Fees Calculator

The break-even after fees calculator folds your buy-side and sell-side costs into one number: the exit price where proceeds finally cover everything you paid to get in and out.

Expectancy Calculator

The expectancy calculator turns your measured win rate and average win/loss into per-trade expectancy, profit factor and the break-even win rate your payoff has to clear.

Losing Streak Calculator

The losing streak calculator estimates how often a run of consecutive losses shows up across a sample of trades — the streaks that arrive even when the long-run win rate looks reasonable.

Portfolio Heat Calculator

The portfolio heat calculator adds up the stop-risk across every open position, then shows both naive total heat and a correlation-adjusted estimate of your real combined exposure.

Monte Carlo Equity Curve Simulator

The Monte Carlo simulator stress-tests one set of assumptions by dealing the same win rate, payoff ratio and fixed-fractional risk into thousands of possible equity paths — so you see the range of outcomes, not one lucky backtest.

CSV Trade Journal Analyzer

The trade journal analyzer reads a CSV export from your broker or journal and returns your core stats — win rate, net P&L, profit factor, expectancy, streaks and max drawdown — plus an equity curve, entirely inside your browser.

Information tool only. Every result is deterministic arithmetic (for the simulator, a probability estimate) from the numbers you enter. The calculators run in your browser with no account connection and nothing stored; the pairs scanner uses delayed, cached market data (daily figures, refreshed once a day), not a live feed. This is not investment, trading, tax, or financial advice — verify against your own broker or prop firm before acting.
